You are exactly right if the U.S. decided to occupy the other countrys but the wouldn't be doing that.
This is going off topic but... Unless you hold what you conquer/"destroy", it's not victory. This entire hypothetical situation made up by the Pentagon or whoever is just a bunch of guys beating their own drum.

Thats funny.

Currently we are at stand down but the allies eventually won WWII against german that build a war machine almost over night.

Europe have been a war zone for millenia, just because you dont see european nations with large standing armies does not mean we cannot build one in a relative short time ... dont try us, we have the technology to go to war if we need so.

But terrorism is not won with conventional armies, its done by removing the root of the problem and that is by political steps, the way to beat Al-Queda is cutting their support and remove their leaders.

What a ridiculous statement.

Besides that even - lets look at the accuracy of US predictions for these kind of issues: Iraq - 3 weeks I think wasnt it to topple the Government? When did we invade? Damn... Oh, and lets not forget Vietnam.

Tell your next door neighbour that he needs to go back to University. Bovine University.

Heading back on topic... British police have just said they're being vigilant because "this might not be over."

To keep with the original intention of the thread, My condolences to the people of England and what has happened. I have some online friends and real world friends who are over there right now and I hope they are ok.
I mention Bush and Blair because (Unfortunatley) they are the people in the greatest position to do something about it.

Take your political leanings elsewhere, both sides, please.

My condolences to the British people and to those who have lost family members.
